I was also part of a team of volunteers, headed by Glen E. Swanson, Historian, NASA Johnson Space Center, that corrected the Apollo 11 mission transcript. This involved listening to the recordings of the crew made at the time and then comparing them with the tape transcripts looking for, and correcting, errors.
This followed on from an earlier project, which I was also involved in. This project produced a two CD-ROM collection containing 80 transcripts totalling nearly 45,000 pages of text covering every U.S. human spaceflight from the first mission of Mercury Redstone 3 through the last lunar landing flight of Apollo 17.
